About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. The role may include supporting patient health services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, technicians may pursue Technician Immunizer status and assist with vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and information collection, adverse-reaction response and reporting, and vaccine supply management.
