About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflows, best practices, and effective communication practices, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team culture. After starting in the role, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Where permitted by law and supported by training and certification, technicians may also provide patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician Immunizers may be required to complete additional licensing and training to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 29. The stated pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour. The actual offer depends on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. Benefits may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility.
