About The Position
JOIN OUR DYNAMIC PHARMACY TEAM AS A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN, WHERE YOU'LL PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN SUPPORTING MEDICATION DISTRIBUTION FOR BOTH INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT CARE. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Registered Maryland Board of Pharmacy Technician (required)
- Must obtain Maryland license within 30 days if licensed in another state
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
Nice To Haves
- Previous pharmacy technician experience (preferred)
- National certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and delivering medications accurately and efficiently
- Maintain inventory systems including Pyxis stock and CII safe
- Repackage medications and support unit dose systems
- Perform monthly medication checks to ensure quality and compliance
- Clean and disinfect the pharmacy clean room per established protocols
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients
- Uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, Maryland Board of Pharmacy, USP 795/800)
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
