About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician dispenses medical prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and performs related administrative duties, including data entry, inventory management, and prescription billing. The role requires a high degree of accuracy and adherence to state and federal pharmaceutical regulations. The technician works with healthcare personnel to support patient care and must protect patient dignity and confidentiality while following infection-control practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technician license or certification as required by the state of employment.
• Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of one year of experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medical prescriptions and perform administrative duties as directed by the Site Physician or Charge Nurse.
• Maintain inventory records, receive and store incoming supplies, and verify stock.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare personnel as needed.
• Assist healthcare professionals within the scope of pharmacy technician certification.
• Follow infection-control techniques and principles while respecting patient dignity and confidentiality.
• Maintain accuracy and comply with state and federal regulations related to pharmaceuticals.
