About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and provide caring service as an often-first point of contact for patients and customers. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, contribute to a safe and inclusive team culture, and complete the company’s training program along with applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until required qualifications are completed. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training, help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe. Technicians must comply with applicable pharmacy laws and regulations, professional standards, ethical principles, and CVS policies. The position is full-time, with anticipated hours of 40 per week. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; actual pay depends on factors including experience, education, and geography. Full-time colleagues are eligible for a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
