CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team culture. After starting, Technicians must complete a company training program and meet all applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Where permitted by law and supported by training and certification, Technicians may also deliver patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician immunizers must complete additional licensure and training requirements and may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a full-time position with 30 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $18.00–$28.00. The actual offer depends on factors such as experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. The position is eligible for a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
