About The Position
The pharmacy technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in providing prescribed pharmaceuticals for a designated population. They provide technical support and other activities for the Pharmacy Department as delegated by a pharmacist. Assists the pharmacist to provide prescribed pharmaceuticals for a designated patient population.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Mississippi driver's license
- Registered Pharmacy Technician or Registered Pharmacy Student in the state of MS
- Must be registered within the three months of employment
Responsibilities
- Monitors inventory and restocks supplies in the assigned department/area
- Performs clerical duties
- Practices within legal, ethical, and professional boundaries
- Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, quality outcomes and patient satisfaction
