CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting the role, technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until these requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. The role may include supporting immunizations and other patient health services where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Technician immunizers must complete additional licensing and training, educate patients about vaccines and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, review and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe. It also involves extended periods upright, handling and moving items, repetitive finger movements, reaching, stooping, close visual work, and occasional lifting or exertion of up to 20 pounds. The position is part-time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour. Benefits may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility.
