Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Salem Township, PA
•$16 - $24•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams in delivering safe, accurate, timely prescription fulfillment and excellent customer service in retail locations. They help pharmacy operations run smoothly by following standard operating procedures and workflow procedures at workstations such as production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off. Technicians are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and are expected to provide empathetic, personalized service, solve or escalate patient concerns, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting in the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Depending on state law and required training and certification, Technicians may also provide additional health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, immunizer responsibilities may include preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, referring vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, responding to adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies. The role requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, flexibility to meet scheduling and business needs, and the ability to travel to other stores in the market when needed. Physical duties include remaining upright for extended periods, handling and lifting items, reaching, repetitive finger movements, stooping, and performing close-vision tasks. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.00–$24.00.
