About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and serve as an initial point of contact for patients and customers. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, demonstrate compassionate care, and contribute to a safe and inclusive team environment. Until those requirements are completed, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict assigned duties. Depending on applicable laws and training, Technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinic support. In states where permitted, Technician Immunizers may complete additional training and licensure requirements to prepare and administer vaccines and perform related patient, safety, and supply-management tasks.
