Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Overland Park, KS

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team culture. After joining, technicians must complete the company training program and meet registration, licensing, and certification requirements established by their state Board of Pharmacy. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are complete. Technicians may perform additional patient health care services—including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics—when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, technicians may pursue Technician Immunizer status and assist with preparing and administering vaccines. The role is part-time, with anticipated weekly hours of 29. Scheduling availability is flexible across shifts, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The typical pay range is $16.50 to $25.00 per hour. Benefits for eligible part-time colleagues may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs; availability depends on hours worked and eligibility.
