Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Winchester, VA
•$17 - $27•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often a first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. Once hired, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Depending on state law and required training and certification, technicians may also provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may voluntarily staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, technicians may qualify as Technician Immunizers to help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time role with 29 anticipated weekly hours. All shifts are flexible, with availability required from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week and every weekend. The stated pay range is $17.00–$27.00 per hour. Depending on hours worked and eligibility, benefits may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs.
