About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in a CVS Health retail location. Technicians are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. They follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and help foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. After starting, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on applicable law and training, technicians may also provide services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, technicians may obtain Technician Immunizer status to help prepare and administer vaccines.
