Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Springfield, MO

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, and applicable legal and professional requirements, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. After starting in the role, Technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are satisfied. Depending on state law and required training, Technicians may also support immunizations and other patient health care services, including point-of-care testing and offsite clinics. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and the ability to complete required training within designated timeframes. It involves extended periods of standing or remaining upright, handling and scanning products, repetitive finger movements, reaching, stooping, close visual work, and occasional lifting or exerting force up to 20 pounds. The role is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.00–$24.00 per hour; actual pay depends on factors such as experience, education, and geography. Eligible colleagues receive a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
