Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•West Valley, UT

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, assist patients as a first point of contact, and contribute to a caring, safe, and inclusive customer and colleague experience. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures, pharmacy workflow practices, applicable laws and professional standards, and CVS policies. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by the required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional training and licensure requirements to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with 10 anticipated weekly hours. The stated pay range is $17.00–$27.00 per hour. Benefit eligibility depends on hours worked and other eligibility criteria; listed offerings include dental and vision benefits, wellness resources, employee discounts, and access to certain voluntary benefits and other programs.
