CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and help foster a safe and inclusive environment. They must complete company training and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict their duties. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete the additional licensing and training required to prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, collect and document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time role with anticipated weekly hours of 20. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour, with actual offers depending on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. Eligible part-time colleagues may have access to benefits and programs supporting physical, emotional, and financial well-being, depending on hours worked and eligibility. These include dental and vision benefits, wellness resources, employee discounts, certain voluntary benefits, and other programs.
