About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They assist patients and customers, help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and contribute to a caring, inclusive patient experience. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow processes, communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, and support the pharmacy team in maintaining safe and compliant operations. After starting, Technicians must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state Board of Pharmacy registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are met, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, Technicians may also provide additional health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technician Immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines and perform related patient education, documentation, monitoring, and supply management.
