Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Lancaster, PA

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflows, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are satisfied. The role may include additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or voluntarily staffing offsite clinics, where allowed by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a Technician Immunizer may complete additional licensure and training, help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a full-time position with anticipated hours of 40 per week. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors including experience, education, and geography. Eligible full-time colleagues may receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
