Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Chapel Hill, NC

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while delivering caring service. Technicians work as part of the pharmacy team, following standard operating procedures and best practices, communicating effectively, and contributing to a safe, inclusive culture. After starting, Technicians must complete a company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until those requirements are completed, duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager. Depending on state law and required training and certification, Technicians may also support patient health services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, and may staff offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines and perform related patient education, monitoring, documentation, and supply-management duties. This is a part-time position with 28 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour. The actual offer depends on factors including experience, education, and geography. Eligible part-time colleagues may have access to benefits and programs including dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, certain voluntary benefits, and other programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility.
