Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Boston, MA
•$17 - $27•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow Standard Operating Procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, contribute to a safe and inclusive culture, and complete company training and applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until requirements are satisfied. Technicians may support additional patient health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, technician immunizers complete additional licensure and training, educate patients about vaccines and refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market as business needs require. This is a part-time position with 29 anticipated weekly hours.
