About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and help foster a safe, inclusive environment. Technicians must complete a company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until requirements are complete, the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties. Depending on state law and training, technicians may also support immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. In locations where permitted, immunizer duties can include preparing and administering vaccines, educating patients, referring vaccination questions to the pharmacist, responding to adverse reactions, documenting patient information, and managing vaccine supplies.
