Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Dallas, TX

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering safe, accurate, and timely prescription fulfillment and excellent patient service. They work across pharmacy workflows—including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off—following company procedures and communicating effectively with patients and colleagues. Technicians are expected to demonstrate empathy, contribute to a safe and inclusive workplace, and help pharmacy operations run smoothly. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; the Pharmacy Manager may restrict duties until requirements are satisfied. The role may include basic inventory activities and, where permitted by law and supported by required training, additional health services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. Technicians who qualify as immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, respond to adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. Scheduling flexibility, including nights and weekends and travel to other stores in the market as business needs require, is expected. The position is full-time, with 32 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour; the offer depends on factors such as experience, education, and geography.
