About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and serve as an important point of contact for patients and customers. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team environment. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until those requirements are met. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers complete additional licensure and training, educate patients about vaccines and refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, respond to and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
