About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and are often the first point of contact for patients and customers. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment. After starting, they must complete company training and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until those requirements are satisfied. Technicians may perform workflow duties at production, pickup, drive-through, and drop-off workstations; assist patients in person and by phone; complete basic inventory tasks; and, where allowed by law and supported by training and certification, provide additional services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. Technician immunizers may need additional licensure and training and may prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the pharmacist, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at the home store or other stores in the market as business needs require. Physical duties include standing and moving for extended periods, handling and lifting items, reaching, repetitive finger movements, stooping, and close visual work. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The posted hourly pay range is $16.00–$24.00. Benefits depend on hours worked and eligibility and may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, voluntary benefits, and other programs.
