About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and patients receive caring service. Technicians follow company standard operating procedures and best practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe and inclusive culture. After starting in the role, they must complete the company training program and satisfy state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics, when allowed by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a Technician may complete additional training and licensure to become a Technician Immunizer, prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients and refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies. This is a part-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 20. The typical pay range is $16.50–$25.00 per hour. The position is eligible for a range of benefits and programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility, including dental and vision benefits, wellness resources, employee discounts, and certain voluntary benefits.
