About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail stores. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow pharmacy workflows, Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, and applicable laws and policies, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After hire, technicians must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager until those requirements are met. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, technicians may provide additional patient health services, including immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics. Technicians authorized as immunizers may help prepare and administer vaccines, educate patients, refer vaccination questions to the Pharmacist-on-duty, monitor and report adverse reactions, document patient information, and manage vaccine supplies.
