Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Houston, TX

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often a first point of contact for patients and customers, helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and meet applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until those requirements are satisfied. The role may include supporting immunization services, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, technicians may pursue Technician Immunizer status and assist with vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referrals, adverse-reaction monitoring and reporting, patient information documentation, and vaccine supply management. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market when business needs require. The anticipated schedule is 30 hours per week, and the position is identified as full-time.
