Pharmacy Technician

CVS Health•Forest Hills, NY

About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy operations and service excellence in retail locations. They are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and help ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service. Technicians follow standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow practices, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe, inclusive team culture. After starting, they must complete the company training program and satisfy applicable state registration, licensing, and certification requirements; duties may be restricted until these requirements are completed. Technicians may provide additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, or staff offsite clinics when permitted by law and supported by required training and certification. Where permitted, a Technician may obtain Technician Immunizer status and support vaccine preparation and administration, patient education and referrals, adverse-reaction monitoring and reporting, patient-information documentation, and vaccine supply management. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to work at other stores in the market when business needs require it. This is a part-time position with 29 anticipated weekly hours.
