About The Position

CVS Health Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams in retail locations by helping deliver safe, accurate, and timely prescription fulfillment and exceptional patient service. They help pharmacy operations run smoothly by following standard operating procedures, communicating effectively, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. Technicians are often the first point of contact for patients and customers and are expected to demonstrate empathy and genuine care in their interactions. Technicians complete a company training program and must satisfy state-specific registration, licensing, and certification requirements. Until requirements are met, duties may be restricted by the Pharmacy Manager. Depending on state law and required training and certification, technicians may also provide services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and support at offsite clinics. Where permitted, Technician Immunizers may prepare and administer vaccines and perform related patient education, documentation, monitoring, and supply-management duties.
