About The Position

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking Pharmacy Technician Trainees to join their team for a 16-week paid learning opportunity. The program aims to develop trainees interested in growing their careers in pharmacy as a licensed Pharmacy Technician. During the program, trainees will be supervised by a licensed pharmacist and have limited responsibilities in their assigned area of practice. Trainees will work full-time and be enrolled in a TRC Pharmacy Technician University program to enhance learning for a career pathway as a Pharmacy Technician. This on-site program includes over 424 hours of curriculum and instruction through online didactic teaching, simulations, and experiential learning. NewYork-Presbyterian covers the cost of this program while trainees are employed with them.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Ability to perform math calculations.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates that are not yet certified by the PTCB or NHA.

Responsibilities

  • Supervised by a licensed pharmacist.
  • Have limited responsibilities in the area of practice designated by the Manager.
  • Responsibilities will be applicable to assigned area of practice.
  • Complete 424+ hours of curriculum and instruction through online didactic teaching, simulations, and experiential learning.
