Under the supervision of the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), this position is responsible for supervising pharmacy technician staff including monitoring attendance, efficiency and thoroughness. Also performs daily pharmacy distribution procedures under the direct supervision of pharmacists. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy, multitask, maintain composure under stressful situations, pay great attention to detail, demonstrate professionalism. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills. Ensures the completeness and thoroughness of monthly floor inspections; emptying return bins; returning medications to Talyst; prepacking; and stocking of all trays. Participates in the interview process perspective employees. Works in collaboration with the Purchasing Specialist to ensure recalled medications are removed from inventory. Functions on an as-needed basis to find fill- in for other technicians in sicknesses, vacations or other types of absences as requested.
