About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacists and according to standard procedures, assists in total prescription filling process: data entry, inventory management, counting, labeling, filing and billing of prescribed products. Coordinates care (with a multi-disciplinary team) directly with patients and caregivers. Works with other team members and outside entities (insurance companies, PBMs, manufacturers) to obtain/verify patient financial responsibilities. Delivery to patient homes/treatment sites as directed.

Requirements

• High School completion / GED
• Must be listed as Certified/Registered Pharmacy Technician with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy
• 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
• Possess good interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Able to read and write printed material in English
• Proficiency with computer keyboard operations
• Ability to compute simple algebraic ratios, volume/volume percentage and weight/volume percentage
• Possess ability to work well with other health care workers and perform as team member

Nice To Haves

• Certified Technician Preferred
• Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
