About The Position

This is a 100% FTE position for a Pharmacy Technician - Registry. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with varying shifts between 6:00 am and 10:30 pm. This role also requires working every other weekend and rotating holidays. The position is located at the UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED or presently attending high school.
Current licensure from the State of Illinois. Candidates without a license may work in this role for 60 days from date of license application through Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulation. Those enrolled in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy are exempt from certification requirements, but will need to obtain a “Pharmacy Technician- Student Designation” license from IDFPR.
Completion of Pharmacy Technician Certification within two (2) years of date license was first issued.

Nice To Haves

Retail pharmacy or hospital experience is preferred, in particular in the following areas: unit dose distribution, compounding non-sterile medications, IV admixture including USP<797> and <800>, and automated dispensing machine technology.
