About The Position
The full time - remote role of Pharmacy Technician Prior Authorization at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California will work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Specialists responsible for this function to improve medication access to patients include obtaining prior authorization and co-pay assistance for injectable medications.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
Nice To Haves
- Prior Authorization experience is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Supporting prior authorization by reviewing electronic health record and comparing with payer-requirements for specific medications
- Supporting clinics with prior authorization questions
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, admissions and contracting
- Coordination and communication with patients related high cost drug questions as they arise
- Working with patients and Patients Assistance Programs to support high cost medications therapies
