A staff member who works exclusively from home may be in California or one of the following approved states - Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Colorado, Texas, Minnesota, Georgia and Florida. The full time - remote role of Pharmacy Technician Prior Authorization at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California will work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Specialists responsible for this function to improve medication access to patients include obtaining prior authorization and co-pay assistance for injectable medications.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing

Nice To Haves

• Prior Authorization experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Supporting prior authorization by reviewing electronic health record and comparing with payer-requirements for specific medications
• Supporting clinics with prior authorization questions
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, admissions and contracting
• Coordination and communication with patients related high cost drug questions as they arise
• Working with patients and Patients Assistance Programs to support high cost medications therapies
