The Pharmacy Technician of Automation is under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist (depending on state regulations), should provide assistance in dispensing functions, including purchasing, inventory control of all drug classes, sterile product preparation and associated equipment maintenance, and automated dispensing cabinet equipment and inventory maintenance. Also performs technical duties to maintain pharmaceutical dispensing functions to all neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including inpatients and outpatients. Additionally, the individual should maintain an in-depth working knowledge of pharmacy automation systems and will be responsible for the management of pharmacy automation hardware and software. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
