About The Position

The position must practice the profession of pharmacy in an environment that by philosophy and policy promotes patient care. This person must be friendly and provide remarkable customer service to enhance overall patient health. Meijer Market Format Stores are a new and exciting neighborhood grocery store model, created to listen and react to the communities they are embedded in. Our stores are focused on community first, genuine customer service, fresh produce, local products, and low prices every day. We are rooting ourselves in urban and suburban locations throughout the Midwest, and are operated independently from the rest of the Meijer Supercenter chain. This allows each store the autonomy to truly reflect the neighborhood, to source locally, and to evolve with the needs of the people who live and shop there.

Requirements

  • High School/GED.
  • Registered and/or licensed as required in the state of practice.
  • Retail/Community Practice.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Proficient Typing Skills.
  • Neat and Eligible Penmanship.
  • Organizational Skills.
  • Prioritizing Skills.
  • Teamwork.
  • Attendance.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Licensed in their respective state if required.
  • Successful completion of Meijer Employer based training if licensure is not required in their respective state.
  • Completion of Meijer Retrobill training to comply with third party processes.
  • Ability to perform CLIA waived tests as part of the Meijer Health Screening Program.

Responsibilities

  • Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.
  • Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
  • Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
  • Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
  • Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
  • Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
  • Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
  • Stocking prescription medication.
  • Maintaining a clean, and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
  • Provide immunizations to Meijer patients.
