About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician Level 1 practices pharmacy in an environment focused on patient care and provides friendly, remarkable customer service to support patients’ overall health. The role supports prescription dispensing and pharmacy operations, including medication inventory, prescription data entry, insurance claims, documentation, ordering and stocking medications, and promotion of pharmacy initiatives and clinical services. The technician is also responsible for prioritizing work, communicating effectively, maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy, and protecting patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Retrieve appropriate medications from inventory.
Input customer and prescription information into the pharmacy dispensing system.
Create prescription labels and adjudicate insurance claims.
Complete paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
Order prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
Stock prescription medication.
Promote pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
Prioritize workload.
Use effective communication skills and act as an agent of change.
Maintain a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
