Pharmacy Technician Lead Instructor
About The Position
CALRegional is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Pharmacy Technician Lead Instructor for its Fresno Campus. This role offers an opportunity to supplement income while making a significant impact on aspiring healthcare professionals. The instructor will be responsible for teaching all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician field, reporting student progress, preparing students for externships, and fostering an understanding of values appropriate to the healthcare profession. No prior teaching experience is required, but a passion for healthcare education and a strong understanding of pharmacy concepts are essential.
Requirements
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
- 3 years of experience in the Pharmacy field.
- Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
- Efficient with computers and technology.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Must understand all Pharmacy related medical math concepts and be able to teach them to class.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching and/or supervisory experience desirable.
Responsibilities
- Instructing students in all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician Field.
- Reporting and recording student performance and progress.
- Preparing students in 182 hours of class time, to go on to a 120-hour externship in a retail or hospital Pharmacy.
- Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideas appropriate to the health care profession.
- Providing a professional role model for students.
