Pharmacy Technician, IV Admix, PRN, Baptist Beaches
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered IV Admix Pharmacy Technician for a PRN opportunity at Baptist Medical Center Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This role involves filling automated dispensing cabinets, delivering medications, packaging medications, and preparing sterile IV compounds for patients, often in critical care, surgery, oncology, or intensive care settings. The IV technician will work closely with pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure safe and timely medication therapy. All activities will be performed under the supervision of a Florida-licensed Pharmacist.
Requirements
- 1-2 years Pharmacy Technician Experience
- Hospital and IV room experience is required
Nice To Haves
- PTCB certification is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Filling Omincell automated dispensing cabinet
- Delivering medications to different floors
- Packaging medications in the central pharmacy
- Making sterile compounds in the IV room (3-4 hours daily)
- Assisting the Pharmacist on duty
- Compounding of IV admixtures
- Filling automated dispensing cabinets and unit-dose medication orders and envelopes
- Basic reconstitution of oral suspensions
