About The Position
The Pharmacy Technician III works under the direct supervision of registered pharmacists in accordance with Florida law, rules, and regulations. Responsible for assisting and supporting pharmacists in various aspects of the medication use process in a patient focused manner that supports and promotes medication safety, as well as responsibility for supporting the preparation and distribution of medications. The Pharmacy Technician III works in more advanced technician roles than Pharmacy Technician I's and II's.
Requirements
- Active registration as a pharmacy technician or pharmacy intern in the State of Florida.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification.
- The ability to obtain a level 2 AHCA clearance.
- Two (2) years of experience in a Pharmacy Technician role within SMHCS or comparable organization.
Responsibilities
- Assisting and supporting pharmacists in various aspects of the medication use process in a patient focused manner that supports and promotes medication safety.
- Supporting the preparation and distribution of medications.
