About The Position
Beloit Health System is looking to add a Medication Reconciliation Pharmacy Technician to our Team! This role involves various responsibilities related to medication procurement and distribution, preparation of IV admixtures and chemotherapy preparations, and participation in pharmacy projects. A key function of this position is performing medication reconciliation.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician licensure
- Adheres to established Health System and Pharmacy department policies, rules, and regulations
- Maintains ethical conduct and keeps confidential personal and medical information about patients
Nice To Haves
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) recommended
- Previous Pharmacy hospital technician experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs medication reconciliation
- Fills automated dispensing cabinets
- Completes compound sterile preparations, including chemotherapy
- Performs unit inspections
- Assists pharmacists by triaging phone calls and completing various other tasks as requested
- Loads new medication items into the dispensing machine under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Works on billing projects and other projects, as assigned
- Demonstrates ability to perform functions accurately and efficiently within computer software application
