About The Position

This position is a rotating schedule, 7am- 3:30pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, 8am-5pm, 8:30am-5:30pm. Monday through Friday, no weekends and no holidays. Winston Campus $6,000 sign-on bonus eligible position for qualified candidates! This role helps pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to ensure patients and departments receive the correct medications on time and are charged correctly. It involves organizing daily tasks for maximum efficiency, maintaining medicine stock in good condition, and offering pharmacy services in patient care areas. The position also participates in team efforts to improve quality, supports the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles, and keeps knowledge and skills up to date while helping to educate others. Setting personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives, and following hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork are also key aspects. Providing care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines is also required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.
  • North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Successful completion of a formal technician training program preferred.
  • One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Associate degree in a healthcare or business-related field preferred.
