About The Position

This position provides telephone support to pharmacy patients, providers, and pharmacies, ensuring patients are eligible for and receive prescribed medications accurately and promptly through appropriate delivery methods. The role includes patient tracking, customer service, issue resolution, and escalation when needed. Under a pharmacist’s direction, the technician receives and processes prescriptions in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and Fairview requirements.

Requirements

• Three months of pharmacy technician experience.
• Pharmacy Technician MN.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a pharmacy technician program.
• One year of pharmacy technician experience in a call center environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete intake for mail order, specialty, transplant, and limited distribution pharmacy patients, including new patient enrollment, insurance verification, and medication refill and delivery scheduling.
• Under the direction of a pharmacist, receive prescriptions or orders from patients and process them manually or through the appropriate computer system and protocols accurately and promptly.
• Provide telephone support, track patients, deliver customer service, resolve issues, and escalate issues when appropriate.
