Under the supervision of a pharmacist, and according to departmental policies, procedures and guidelines, the Medication Reconciliation Pharmacy Technician will assist the healthcare team in obtaining an accurate medication history. This role involves restocking floor stock and automated dispensing machines, entering charges/credits, monitoring medication order reports, delivering medications in compliance with regulations, repackaging medications, and preparing IV medications. The technician will also maintain records, ensure cleanliness in sterile areas, and complete quality assurance tasks. Level-specific responsibilities include participating in inspections of medication storage areas, drug procurement and receiving, inventory management of automated dispensing systems, diversion prevention monitoring, and training new staff in various pharmacy operations, including sterile and non-sterile compounding.
