Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 3 years of pharmacy or related work experience
  • Licensed and/or nationally certified technician or the ability to apply for and obtain a license in the state pharmacy is located.

  • Apria Pharmacy Network personnel are expected to participate in appropriate continuing education as may be requested and/or required by their immediate supervisor or the company. In addition, APN personnel are expected to accept personal responsibility for other educational activities to enhance job‐related skills and abilities and attain any and all necessary continue education credits required for job related licenses. All personnel must attend mandatory educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Process new starts, new orders and refills requiring intervention to completion, meaning the order is clinically appropriate, reimbursable and patient’s out‐of‐pocket expense is collected.
  • Enter new orders into the pharmacy computer system.
  • Obtain all necessary billing and clinical documents.
  • Adjudicate NCPDP online claims and collect past due balances and patient’s out‐of pocket expense for the current order.
  • Notify customer of shipment.
  • Verify insurance for orders being processed in the work cells by calling insurance companies or submitting patient information online.
  • Meet IVC team turnaround time service level agreement with work cells.
  • Contact Apria patients to see if they would like APN to provide them pharmacy services along with the nebulizer Apria provides them.
  • Make outbound calls to existing Apria customers to offer them APN pharmacy services.
  • Obtain demographic and billing information from prospective APN customer.
  • Enter new accounts in the pharmacy computer system.
  • Performs other duties as required.
