About The Position

Pharmacy Technician II- Full Time, Rotating. This role requires a higher level of competency than a Tech I, potentially needing less supervision. It involves autonomous responsibility in record keeping or acting as a single point of contact outside the department. The position requires advanced technology expertise and ownership, and may involve delegated functions of pharmacy leadership (manager or lead technicians). Responsibilities include the timely and accurate preparation, delivery, and storage of medications, including the use of technology. Ensuring accuracy of one's own work, maintaining required competencies and documentation, and upholding departmental quality improvement and patient safety standards are crucial. The role also emphasizes ongoing professional development, leading by example, perpetuating accountability, and managing one's own time. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson, and McKinney since 1991. As a 386-bed, full-service hospital, it delivers exceptional care through advanced technology and a dedicated team. The hospital offers a range of specialties and is undergoing expansion with a new patient tower and renovations. It is a four-time Magnet-designated hospital with the DFW area's only AACN Beacon Gold adult intensive care unit. The work location is Texas Health Plano - 6200 West Parker Road TX 75093-7914. Requirements

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
6 Months experience in a Texas Health hospital pharmacy is required
RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire is required
Proficiency in written and verbal English language, computers, the ability to adapt to various software systems, and basic math including conversions, proportions, ratios, and algebra.
The ability to work alone, and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate and respond verbally and in writing to or for patients, family members and staff members

Responsibilities
