About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting pharmacists in preparing and processing medication orders to ensure patients and departments receive the correct medications accurately and on time. The Pharmacy Technician II will also help maintain medicine stock, provide pharmacy services in patient care areas, and participate in team efforts to improve quality and support departmental objectives. The position emphasizes teamwork, good communication, and adherence to hospital standards for a positive work environment. Care provided will be tailored to different age groups according to Age Specific Care Guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) required.
• North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration as a pharmacy technician required within 30 days of hire.
• Good mathematics skills.
• Attention to details.
• Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of a formal technician training program preferred.
• One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
• Associate degree in a healthcare or business-related field preferred.
