About The Position

Join our Pharmacy Technician team! We are currently recruiting for Pharmacy Technicians in the following areas: Acute Care, Outpatient, Cancer Care, Home Infusion and Purchasing. There is also a questionnaire attached to the application where candidates can rank area(s) of preference. If selected, our Talent Acquisition team will connect with candidates to discuss our different openings available.

Requirements

  • No previous experience required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Kansas locations: CPhT required by first board renewal.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Missouri locations: none
  • Pharmacy Technician Registration - State Board of Pharmacy Kansas and/or Missouri - per work state upon Hire
  • Technician must maintain certification on an ongoing basis and complete all continuing education requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR equivalent National Pharmacy Technician Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares medications for dispensing: Independently fills prescriptions with accuracy.
  • Distributes medications and stock items: Independently dispenses prescriptions with accuracy.
  • Maintains Pharmacy Inventory: Independently restocks shelves and automation with accuracy. Checks for expired or missing products and reports discrepancies to leader.
  • Operates pharmacy computer systems: Independently enters prescription data and patient information into pharmacy systems with accuracy.
  • Compliance and recordkeeping: Follows standard procedures for labeling, documentation, and handling of medications.
  • Patient Care: Provides courteous, professional service when assisting patients, caregivers, and staff. Directs medication related or clinical questions to a pharmacist.
  • Medication Safety: Practices medication safety basics such as barcode scanning and double-checking labels; promptly reports discrepancies to pharmacists or leaders.
  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
