About The Position

This Per Diem Pharmacy Technician I position is located at Evanston Hospital, working rotating shifts Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays as needed. The role involves assisting pharmacists with medication preparation, filling, and dispensing, as well as maintaining patient records and managing drug supply inventory. Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must become certified by successfully passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) examination or another Board-approved pharmacy technician examination, within 2 years of initial licensure

Nice To Haves

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
• Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred
• Retail experience preferred for retail positions

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist with preparing, filling and dispensing medications
• Maintain patient records, set up, package and label medication doses
• Maintain inventory of drug supplies
